About Lifetime Care
About Lifetime Care
- We clean, refinish and repolish ⅡA pieces free of charge, with no limit on how long or how often. You may bring the piece to the salon or send it by post.
- We resize rings free of charge, with no limit on how long or how often. Around ±2 Japanese sizes is the usual range; what is possible depends on the design and construction. Some pieces, such as full eternity rings, cannot be resized at all. We also adjust the length of necklaces and bracelets. Where additional material such as precious metal is required, a separate charge applies.
- We inspect and carry out basic repairs — loose stones, settings, fittings, chains, deformation — free of charge. Wear that comes with the years is also assessed and maintained. Where damage is severe, or new parts or materials are required, a separate charge may apply depending on the condition.
- If a melee diamond or a stone from a full eternity ring is lost, we repair it free of charge, including replacing the stone. If a centre stone or a larger gemstone is lost, the cost of the new stone is charged.
- When a ⅡA piece passes to a family member or someone dear to you, Lifetime Care passes with it. Even without the original proof of purchase or certificate, we will help as long as the piece can be confirmed as ours.
- For maintenance within Japan, return shipping from ⅡA to you is free of charge. Sending the piece to us is at your own cost. We also accept pieces from overseas; international shipping, customs duties and any other charges are borne by you.
The following fall outside Lifetime Care, or may be chargeable.
- Loss or theft of the piece itself
- Loss of a centre stone, a larger gemstone, an earring back or similar
- Adding new precious metal, gemstones or parts
- Redesign and remodelling
- Repairs beyond ordinary maintenance, such as severe damage
- Pieces repaired or altered by another company
- Pieces bought by a third party through the secondhand market or similar
